When we take x-rays, it allows us to see what we cannot see with our eyes alone. Digital dental x-rays reveal signs of decay, infection, and bone loss. We take x-rays periodically, usually once yearly, unless a problem arises.
Dental x-rays have always been among the lowest in radiation, even before the invention of digital x-rays. Now, improved equipment has eliminated more than 80 percent of the radiation necessary to take images. That means that your digital x-rays are safe, effective, and inexpensive. To this day, dental x-rays remain as one of the best ways to make an early oral diagnosis.
